Harvest Pointe once again will support Crisis Services of North Alabama this Christmas season with their key fund-raising event, the Annual HELPline Holiday Giftwrap, at Parkway Place Mall in Huntsville.
HELPline is a 24/7 crisis line answered by volunteers trained to provide crisis intervention when a person is temporarily unable to cope. Last year, HELPline added Crisis Chat to encourage youth to reach out for help. Crisis Chat is for anyone who is depressed, despairing, going through a hard time, or just needs to talk, including people who are thinking about suicide. CSNA continues to offer 2-1-1, which provides information and referrals to people needing assistance with basic human needs like emergency shelter and rent/utility bills, mental health support, and employment.
Harvest Pointe will "man the booth" on Tuesday evening, December 20. Gift wrapping skills are helpful but not required. We need four persons in the booth, and you can sign up for one or two hours if you wish. To volunteer, see Kerry and Jack, or contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
